After a diagnosis of bi-lateral plantar fasciitis and other sole of foot issues and pending surgeries, my work still required me to be on my feet. I tried many different quality brands of shoes to relieve the intense, disabling pain. The first to provide significant help was the Dansko Professional clog. I believe that my use of the clog allowed me to postone and maybe even avoid foot surgeries on both feet. I am a great fan of the clogs. So, when I was searching for a shoe that was a bit dressier and appropriate for business wear, I tried the Desiree. It does start out a little stiff. It does not have the great arch support of the clog. I wish the arch support would be increased. I am not crazy about the little ornament on the instep flap. An even simpler design would be more to my liking. However, it is now my favorite all around shoe.
