Absolutely wonderful shoe - I absolutely love this shoe and plan to order a second pair, maybe even a third in a different color. I bought them for work initially and received many compliments. I will say that it took a few wears to really soften the leather (patent styles are particularly tricky) but after those few times it was like walking on air. My only complaint is that the bottoms wear rather quickly (the patent finish on the heels and toes also wore away).

A Winner! I ordered a size larger (out of my size), but that was perfect because I wear nice warm socks with them. Arch and heel have great support, but the bottoms are a little thin. That's what makes wearing the socks nice, too. I have fairly thin calves and the boot is nice and snug. It's taken me three seasons to find a pair that are snug. Compliments galore for the look.

A beautiful comfortable boot. This is a timeless style that works with both dresses and skinny jeans. I wear a 9-9 1/2 and have a 15 1/2 inch calf. I have these in a 9 and there's still room for a small orthotic to enhance the cushioning and arch support. They fit my calves comfortably with room for normal weight socks and skinny jeans and still a little room to spare. They are not overly tall, and stop about two inches short of my knee on my 5'4'' frame. I have noticed it can take a little effort to get my heel in the boot; however, this is fairly common with pull-on boot styles. As a plus, once your heel is in, it does not slip, unlike the very similar Frye Dorado riding boot. The black leather is not quite as luscious as the other colors are reported to be in the reviews; it's a little more stiff, but I have noticed this effect with shoes as well as bags. It must have something to do with how the leather is treated. (I have been very torn between these and the similar Frye Dorado boots; the Dorado are slightly prettier and more expensive but less comfortable, in my opinion. I may, however, still splurge on the Dorado in a different color.) Overall, a very beautiful, comfortable and versatile boot that I plan to wear for years.

A great fitness shoe for winter - I am 56 and walk 4 miles outdoors, rain or shine, several days a week for fitness. This shoe was very comfortable the very first time I wore them (and I went the full route). I especially like the fact that they have both the close to the tongue and wide spaced eyelets. I used a combination of both for a really custom fit. I did have a problem with my left ankle rubbing on the outer side because the shoe was too high. (My left foot is a half size smaller than my right foot due to bunion surgery.) The problem was resolved by inserting a 1/4 inch heel lift in both shoes to keep things equal. That did not affect the great fit and comfort at all. I was very glad because I really like the shoes. They are true to size for me, with a roomy toe box. They look great (mine are blue) and they are a very comfortable, stable shoe for fitness walking in wet/winter weather conditions. My feet stay dry and warm! My son is a runner and he intends to get a pair based on my recommendation. He wears orthotics and I think these shoes will accommodate them.

A "rose" with a couple of thorns - These shoes are pretty but the fact that they do not come on 1/2 sizes make it difficult to find a size that is comforting. I normally wear a 7- 7.5M (depending on the brand) so I ordered a 7 thinking that a 7 will seemingly fit. However the 7 is a little small and there are no more size 8's for me to compare. Nonetheless these shoes are worth having if you can find the size that suits you!!
